KVFD Updates
The KVFD is supporting the rescheduled FireSmart Day and Chipping Event. We are excited that October 17th, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. will be the date/times that the community-wide FireSmart event will take place.
Although a lot of debris has been removed from properties during this COVID time, more can be done. In the wake of the fire across the lake, let's everyone work with their neighbours to help clean up neglected areas, haul away those long, dead grasses and continue to rake up pine needles.
The chipping site will be at the top of Dogwood Ave. Signage and flaggers will help you along your way and with COVID-19 measures in place, your safety is of utmost importance. Watch for posters and information in the next coming days and weeks leading up to this important event.

KVFD Community Appreciation BBQ and Recruitment Drive
Thank you to everyone who attended the recent KVFD Community Appreciation BBQ and Recruitment Drive event. It was a rainy day but we all had fun. There were amazing demonstrations, awesome displays, Sparky was charming and of course the food was delicious.
